Recently, a Republican oozed himself into Ted Kennedy's seat. Which is just how it happened. I have no problem with Democrats or Republicans, they are just people with different views. Acceptable.
Or it should be.
But now, it seems, that because a Democrat held the seat for 47 years, now that a Republican has it, IT'S AN OUTRAGE.
What? Why? Now I am a Democrat, so don't get the wrong impression.
When I look up Ted Kennedy on Google, and see Twitter entries like this one:
"So, uh, did Massachusetts just take a giant crap on top of Ted Kennedy's grave? 'Cause that's what I heard..."
Which brings me to my point, whenever something that doesn't match our particular views happens, we have to find a scapegoat. Amusing that something can't happen without it being the States fault, or maybe the peoples fault, or maybe The governments fault.
Or maybe a guy got elected and you can just deal.
I am as disappointed as the next guy that it was a republican, but it isn't like any one is at fault.
This isn't the first time someone needed to blame something on someone. Remember Haiti? Back when it was still here, just after the Earthquake than destroyed it, someone on Fox Noose blamed the Haitians for making god angry with them a long time ago and so he blew the shit out of Haiti. Why blame the Haitians? Why do it with god?
A. Because the Haitians are bad?
B. Because if something goes wrong, it means the Deity forces are pissed at you.
What about Katrina? You know, the one hurricane that New Orleans took the brunt of in the face. That had something that could be blamed, an earthquake that made big wave.
No wait, it's F.E.M.A's fault for not helping.
F.E.M.A should have sent aid, yes, but they didn't cause the quake.
So, next time you think of the Ted Kenneseat, think of those damned Republicans that caused this mess (?)

Well said. Some of what it is about is that word "Complacency" . It has caught out many over the years, especially people who get too much and too soon. In this case the incumbents were complacent and they got side-swiped. greg
